major snow storm and deep freeze

The new year is going to start off with a arctic blast coming. Starting around January 1st, very cold temps arrive with a very active weather pattern. It is over a week out, but the GFS weather models are showing a major snow storm coming. At this time it is projected to hit southern Wisconsin and all of Illinois. Being a week out, I’m hoping things shift north to the snow capitol of the world (Eagle River) or we might have to rename Milwaukee the snow capital…lol.

The snow machines of the great lakes should start producing massive amounts of snow in the first couple weeks of the new year also. I might get more use out of my Michigan trail pass after all.

The good news is the weather patterns look to be a roller coaster for some time to come, so our chances for a snowy January look promising. Keep doing your snow dance!
