Arctic Deep Freeze

The outlook through the next few days brings an arctic blast of air Wednesday night through Friday morning. Lows on Wednesday night will be -6, and Thursday night -8. Thursday high only gets up around 0. Wednesday as this front comes in we have a chance of an inch of snow to accumulate before the short deep freeze.

When it starts to warm back up on Saturday we see another chance of an inch or so of snow again, but the weekend highs get back to around 30 degrees.

The start of next week shows the possibility of some significant snowfall to hit the Northwoods, but at this time it’s too early to call. Keeping my fingers crossed we may still see the Vilas county trail system open early this year.
