Snow Coming???
Could this really be the end of our snow drought in northern Wisconsin.
A weak trough of low pressure crossing our area tonight will produce a few light snow showers. A dusting up to a half inch is possible in spots. Saturday will be the dry day with a little sun in the morning. Saturday night and into Sunday some light snow will develop and it looks like 3 to 6 inches is possible around much of the area by Monday morning. A few days out, but the chances are looking good.
Some arctic air will move into the area early next week. On Monday, temperatures will fall into the single digits by later in the afternoon, and there will be a gusty northwest wind. Scattered flurries will be in the air and some lake effect snow is likely in the Northwoods. On Tuesday, the sun will be out more, but it will remain cold. Highs will only reach the single digits to around 10 degrees. Wednesday will be a little better with highs in the teens under partly cloudy skies.
A slight chance of snow will develop later Wednesday into Thursday with more accumulations possible as temperatures warm up a bit more.
